🧭 Creator Position Assessment Framework

"Start where you are" – because that's your real leverage point.

Step 1: Platform Presence Audit

Identify where your community is most active, and how they're engaging.

Checklist:

  • List all platforms you currently post on

  • For each platform, answer:

    • Follower count

    • Average engagement rate (likes/comments/shares/views)

    • Link click-through rate (CTR), if applicable

    • Top 3 performing posts (format + topic)

    • Where do most DMs or replies come from?

Goal:
Find your top 1–2 engagement platforms vs. exposure-only platforms. Focus on where real interaction happens.

Step 2: Audience Demographics Breakdown

Your audience’s identity drives what they’ll buy, share, and respond to.

Checklist:

  • Pull analytics from your main platform(s) or surveys

  • Document:

    • Age brackets

    • Gender split

    • Primary countries/regions

    • Top professions or interests (from bios, polls, comments)

    • Estimated income levels or spending power (if knowable)

Bonus: Run a 3-question Google Form survey to capture direct audience insights:

  1. What do you most enjoy about my content?

  2. What’s your biggest current challenge in [niche]?

  3. What types of products or help would you find valuable?

Step 3: Content Performance Analysis

What you post vs. what actually hits.

Checklist:

  • Pull your top 10 highest-performing posts (across platforms)

  • For each:

    • What was the topic?

    • What format was it? (video, reel, story, carousel, tweet, etc.)

    • What made it perform? (emotion, education, trend, storytelling)

  • Are there common patterns in content that drives:

    • Comments?

    • Saves?

    • Shares?

    • Clicks?

Goal:
Spot content themes and formats your audience is signaling they want more of—and would likely pay for.

Step 4: Monetization History Review

Past attempts tell you where the money is—or isn’t.

Checklist:

  • List every offer you've made (free or paid), including:

    • Courses, coaching, templates, affiliate links, sponsorships, merch, etc.

  • For each:

    • What was the offer?

    • What was the price?

    • What was the conversion rate or total sales?

    • What feedback did you receive?

Goal:
Spot signals in what worked, or learn why something didn’t land. Use this to refine, not abandon monetization.

Step 5: Resource Reality Check

The best plan is the one you can actually implement.

Checklist:

  • Realistically assess:

    • Weekly hours available for content + business

    • Skills you currently have (content, tech, marketing, design, etc.)

    • Tools/software you're already paying for

    • Existing team/support (if any)

  • What would break your system if you tried to do it all?

Goal:
Choose strategies that match your bandwidth. Don’t copy creators with full teams if you’re solo.

Step 6: Advantage Mapping

Now that you’ve got the data—connect the dots.

Look for patterns like:

  • One platform outperforms all others → Focus energy there

  • Niche audience with high buying power → Price accordingly

  • Posts about X always go viral → Turn into product/content pillar

  • Small but highly engaged list → Test direct sales or premium content

Ask Yourself:

  • What strengths am I underutilizing?

  • What platforms or products are distractions, not drivers?

  • What signals has my audience already sent me?

Step 7: Write Your Creator Snapshot

Use this as your "You Are Here" pin.

Template:

  • My top platform: __________

  • My audience is mostly: __________

  • They respond best to content about: __________

  • I’ve tried monetizing through: __________

  • My biggest constraint is: __________

  • My most untapped opportunity is: __________

🧩 Output: Your Custom Strategy Foundation

Once you’ve completed this assessment, you’ll:

  • Know what platforms to double down on

  • Know what type of content your audience wants

  • Know what offers are most likely to convert

  • Know your real-life execution bandwidth
